Release Notes
Version history for Logic Commander
Version 1.6.1
July 2026
Latest
- Fix Custom commands that use a modifier key (e.g. ⌘A for "select all") now work. They were being sent in a way that silently dropped the modifier; they now use the same reliable method as the built-in commands. Existing custom commands are fixed automatically, so there is no need to re-create them
Version 1.6
June 2026
- New Input channel selection: choose which channel of a multi-channel interface Logic Commander listens to. If your mic runs through an external preamp into a higher input (e.g. Input 7 on a Scarlett or Apollo), pick it from the new "Input Channel" menu in Settings → Microphone Input
- Fix Previously the app always listened to Input 1, so mics wired to a higher channel were never heard
- Fix The welcome screen no longer appears on every launch. It now shows only on first launch, as intended
Version 1.5
March 2026
- New Trigger word toggle in the menu bar popover: disable "Hey Logic" for sessions where you're not recording vocals and want to speak commands directly
- New Voice commands to toggle trigger word mode: say "disable trigger word" or "enable trigger word"
- Fix Trial start date now stored in Keychain instead of UserDefaults, preventing trivial trial resets
- Fix Removed unused result warning in AppleScript execution
- Fix Audio device list uses updated macOS 14 API with fallback for older systems
Version 1.4
March 2026
- Fix Status indicator now visibly pulses and glows in response to mic input
- Fix Menu bar icon now correctly returns to inactive state when you stop listening from the popover
- Fix Idle timeout now fires correctly. Previously the internal recognition restart cycle was resetting the timer every 45 seconds, so it never triggered
- Fix Idle reminder notifications now use the modern macOS notification system and reliably appear
- New 1-minute idle timeout option added for testing or short sessions
Version 1.3.1
March 2026
- New Bar navigation commands added to the Command Reference window
- Fix "Manage Custom Commands" link in Command Reference now opens the correct Commands tab in Settings
- Fix Spurious "Panel" label removed from Commands tab in Settings
- Fix Navigation category no longer appears as an empty editable section in Settings
- Removed Punch In and Punch Out commands (unreliable via AppleScript)
Version 1.3
March 2026
- New Bar navigation: say "go to bar 32", "play from bar 9", or "bar twenty five" to jump the playhead
- New Spoken numbers supported for bar navigation ("bar twenty five" = bar 25)
- Fix Echo suppression for bar navigation commands to prevent re-triggering from playback
Version 1.2
February 2026
- New 7-day free trial with full functionality, no account or credit card required
- New License activation via Gumroad: paste your key in Settings to unlock permanently
- New 3-day offline grace period after last successful license verification
